ARTS FOR PEACE AWARDS” commemorate the 10th Anniversary & 1st convocation ceremony of “D.S ADEGBENRO ICT POLYTECHNIC {which is an Ogun State government owned public institution}” for the conferment of “BRAVEHEART LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS, FELLOWSHIP AWARDS, AWARDS OF NATIONAL DIPLOMA & PRESENTATION OF PRIZES” on Saturday 10th December 2016 at Itori, Ogun State, Nigeria.


Yeni Kuti Hosted The Global Peace Leaders Of ARTS FOR PEACE AWARDS

History was made with almost five thousand people at the venue of the event in the ancient city of Itori in Ogun State with the royal endorsement of “His Royal Majesty {HRM} Oba Abdulfatai Akorede Akamo Agbodere 1 {The Olu of Itori}”. Many outstanding dignitaries, laureates, scholars, encyclopedic legends and distinguish monarchs graced the occasion with their imperial presence while the executive governor of Ogun State was honourably represented at the event by Honourable (Prince) Adeshina M.A Adegbenro who is officially the “consultant to the Ogun State Governor on political affairs”. 

The opening speech of Dr. Alfred Olufemi Fatade (Rector of D.S ADEGBENRO ICT POLYTECHNIC) commenced the program while the Ogun State Governor's speech commissioned the event. The convocation procession was duly observed by the emeritus lecturers and graduated students of the institution on whose essence the event was specially planned. The Fellowship Awards & Awards of National Diploma were conferred on dignitaries that are very well-deserving of the honours and few among the awardees include HRM Oba Abdulfatai Akorede Akamo Agbodere 1 (the Olu of Itori), His Excellence (Alhaji) Aliko Dangote, etc for their immense propagation of academic per excellence... 

The second chapter of the event which was a global peace conference and symposium of tree planting called the global executive team of ARTS FOR PEACE AWARDS on the podium for the INAUGURATION OF THE GLOBAL PEACE FESTIVAL & GLOBAL PEACE TREE... The chief-speakers of the global peace conference and symposium were HSM Emperor Alafia Adeoba Shalom & HM Queen Munni Irone while the inauguration speech was honourably aided by Ambassador Pepper Jay & Ambassador Theophilus Phillips... “10th December 2016” was declared as the “GLOBAL PEACE FESTIVAL DAY” by Emperor Alafia Adeoba Shalom & Queen Munni Irone
